Roswell Park Memorial Institute (RPMI) 1640 Medium is widely used in the culture of many cell types, including lymphocytes, carcinomas and suspension cells. It contains various amino acids and vitamins essential for cell growth, though does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. The formulation of this product does not contain L-glutamine.
