Digital Marketing Assistant

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US) and Leiden (NL), providing products and services globally. We are looking for a hard-working, competent and organized individual to join our high-paced, dynamic Marketing Team in Bar Hill.

You will work within the marketing team and assist with the digital marketing activities of the company, with the aim to improve brand visibility and increase sales. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carrying out SEO activities including website meta descriptions and keywords 
  • Working on SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing to maximize ROI
  • Assisting with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns 
  • Assisting the IT team to ensure the website is accessible and easy to follow to allow increased engagement 
  • Checking search terms, rankings, and analytics to monitor performance of the website using Google tools 
  • Keeping up to date with search engine algorithms 
  • Assisting the marketing team with creating content for the website, social media optimisation across various platforms and any other projects when necessary 
  • Work with the marketing team on the Companies’ overall marketing strategy 
  • Contributing to regular Marketing team meetings 
  • Segment lists and schedule emails 
  • Monitor and report on competitor digital activity 
  • Provide administrative support as needed 

Desired Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Managing priorities and tasks successfully 
  • Fluent in English

Desired:

  • Digital Marketing / IT qualification or experience
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Proven social media experience
  • Proven email marketing experience
  • Proven SEO experience 

Advantageous: 

  • Knowledge of Biology, a Life sciences degree (BSc, MRes, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience
  • A Level Biology or sound knowledge of, and interest in, Biology

Full training will be provided. You will be organized, decisive, efficient, and self-motivated. You will also be practical and have an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a full time, permanent position. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (one hour lunch).
