Anisomycin is a small molecule which can act as a Protein synthesis inhibitor and Anoikis sensitizer. It is provided as a white powder. Melting point: 145-147 °C.
Anisomycin is an antibiotic which inhibits protein synthesis. It interferes with protein and DNA synthesis by inhibiting peptidyl transferace on the 80S ribosome system. It can activate stress-activated protein kinases, MAPkinase and other signal transduction pathways.
