Claudin 2 Cell ELISA Kit is a cell-based ELISA Kit. Cells to be assayed should be seeded onto a clear flat bottom 96 well plate, using poly-L-lysine for non-adherent cells. Cells should be grown to 75-90% confluence and treated prior to carrying out the ELISA.

Introduction Claudin 2 (CLDN2) is a member of the claudin family; transmembrane proteins form tight junctions between cells and form channels between cells to aid paracellular transport. CLDN2 is primarily expressed in kidney and bladder epithelial cells, where it is used to transfer sodium ions between cells. Mouse double knockouts for CLDN2 were reported to have higher urinary sodium chloride concentrations and slight changes to intestinal structure.

Note This product is for research use only.

The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments.

Please note that our ELISA and CLIA kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein.
