DAB (3,3'-Diaminobenzine) is a widely used chromogen for immunohistochemical staining. In the presence of HRP (Horseradish Peroxidase), DAB produces a brown precipitate that is insoluble in ethanol. This kit is suitable for immunohistochemistry, immunoblot and dot blot applications. Each kit contains DAB Substrate (2 × 30 ml) and DAB Chromogen (3 ml).

Directions for use
  1. In a separate tube, add 50 µl of DAB Chromogen to 1 ml of DAB Substrate. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Apply 50 µl of the mixed reagent to each slide and incubate for 3-5 minutes.
  3. When sufficient staining has been achieved, rinse each slide in PBS for 3 minutes. Repeat this 2 more times for a total of 3 washes.
