Epstein-Barr Virus Early Antigen (EB-EA) IgA ELISA Kit is an ELISA Kit against Epstein-Barr Virus Early Antigen (EB-EA) IgA.

Introduction Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) is a dsDNA herpesvirus found in an estimated 90-95% of the human population. The virus enters B cells and epithelial cells, upon which it can enter lytic or latent replication. The former creates more viruses to infect other cells while destroying the host cell, while latent replication creates a reservoir of viral DNA and proteins to be released upon reactivation. In most people, EBV causes an episode of glandular fever, which may cause swelling in the submandibular lymph nodes, liver, and spleen. Infection with the virus is associated with an increased risk of developing some autoimmune diseases, and it may lead to the development of various lymphomas when combined with HIV.
