Hank's Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS) is a physiological solution that combines the properties of a buffer solution, saline solution and culture medium, by regulating pH, maintaining cell osmotic pressure and provding nutrients. This product does not contain calcium, magnesium or phenol red, making it suitable for experiments involving measurement of calcium or magnesium ions.
