Phenylmethylsulfonyl Fluoride (PMSF)

Phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride (PMSF) is a biochemical reagent for common use. It can be used for irreversible inhibition of serine proteases, for example trypsase, chymotrypsin, callicrein, subtilisin and thrombin. It also can be used for inhibiting homocysteine protease-papain. This product is supplied as two tubes: one tube containing PMSF in crystalline form, and one tube containing a buffer solution which can be used to prepare a 100 mM PMSF solution.
