Reticulocyte Lysate System is a blood fraction containing rabbit reticulocyates from New Zealand white rabbits (Nuclease treated).

This product can be used for characterisation of protein products from RNA transcripts and investigation of transcriptional and translational control, such as:
  • Post-translational modification tests
  • Protein/RNA or protein binding assays
  • Protein dimerization assays
  • Characterization of cloned gene products
  • Immunoprecipitation of protein complexes
  • Protein structure analysis
  • DNA footprinting and protein cross-linking assays
  • Electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSAs) for protein-DNA interactions

Recommended dilutions Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Purification Nuclease treated. Non-sterile.
Storage Store at -70°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles (it is recommended that the lysate is freeze/thawed no more than 2 times). Avoid prolonged exposure to CO2 (do not open in the presence of dry ice).
Buffer 0.02 mM Hemin, 50 µg/ml creatine phosphokinase, 12 mM creatine phosphate, 60 µg/ml calf liver tRNA, 1 mM CaCl2, 120 mM KCl2, 0.6 mM MgCl2, 2 mM DTT.
