Zoledronic acid

Zoledronic acid is a small molecule which can act as an antiproliferative and apoptosis inducer. It inhibits farnesyl diphosphate synthase, reducing protein prenylation, inducing osteoclast apoptosis, and inhibiting bone resorption. It reduces adhesion molecules on bone marrow stromal cells and blocks angiogenesis through inhibition of endothelial progenitor cell differentiation. It is provided as an off-white powder.
